The UZH 3R Award highlights the achievements of UZH staff in the field of 3Rs (Replace, Reduce, and Refine Animal Experiments).
This prestigious prize is bestowed upon an individual or team from UZH who has made a significant contribution to the advancement in the field of 3Rs. Their noteworthy efforts may include modifying existing research techniques, introducing innovative approaches that enhance animal welfare, or reducing or replacing animal testing in experiments.
Eligible nominations can include published scientific papers, publicly available preprints, and educational and training projects geared toward implementing 3R methods. The annual UZH 3R Award comes with an endowment of 5000 CHF. The deadline for the submission of applications is 15 June 2023.
