Who are the people behind the ZNZ? We have asked Prof. Dr. Magdalini Polymenidou of Institute of Molecular Life Sciences and member of the ZNZ Steering Committee, to answer a few personal questions in tweets.

Describe your role in the ZNZ Steering Committee: I represent early career scientists and also link the activities of the steering committee with that of the ZNZ gender equality committee, which I coordinate
What’s your elevator speech about the ZNZ? ZNZ is an excellent platform allowing interactions between basic scientists and clinicians with common interests, but often very different skillsets
What makes you come to work every day? It’s the sheer joy of working with my team members and collaborators in Zurich towards new discoveries around the mysterious ways of #neurodegeneration in #ALS and #FTD
What keeps you up at night? Lots of things, actually, as I am a “worrier” by nature; mainly contemplating ways to answer our scientific questions most efficiently.
