Update international collaboration

ZNZ and its partners UCL Neuroscience and the Queensland Brain Institute (QBI) have recently approved new joint seed projects for 2025. The projects should pave the way for larger collaborative grant applications.

The QBI/ZNZ projects are:

  • From medial thalamus to prefrontal cortex: a neglected pathway for somatosensory perception?Clarissa Whitmire (QBI), Fritjof Helmchen and Luca Godenzini (UZH)
  • Illuminating the role of the NK3R Pathway in autism with an engineered sensor
    Nathalie Dehorter (QBI) and Tommaso Patriarchi (UZH)

The UCL/ZNZ projects are:

  • Establishing a Pan-European Network to study social connection across researchers in neuroscience, technology and the arts
    Antonia Hamilton (UCL) and Emily Cross (ETH)
  • Corticotropin-releasing hormone signalling in vagal gut-brain modulation of the behavioral consequences of stress
    Dan Brierley (UCL) and Jean-Philippe Krieger (UZH)
