Silvia Brem, Professor of Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience at the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, UZH, has joined the ZNZ Steering Committee, succeeding Prof. Susanne Walitza.
We extend our sincere thanks to Susanne Walitza, Director of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, UZH, for her dedicated service as a Steering Committee member since 2018. Her thoughtful contributions and valuable insights have played an important role in shaping the development of the ZNZ.
Silvia Brem’s research interests include the examination of brain networks and their development in healthy children and adolescents as well as patients suffering child-psychiatric disorders using non-invasive, child-friendly neuroimaging techniques such as EEG, fMRI and sMRI. The core patient groups include children with developmental dyslexia and children at (familial) risk for developmental dyslexia, as well as children and adolescents suffering from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder or obsessive-compulsive disorder. The current projects of her research group are summarized here.
