New Joint Master Has Started

The ZNZ has implemented a new specialized Master’s in Interdisciplinary Brain Sciences.
The Program is offered jointly by UZH and ETH Zurich. In the fall semester 2022, the first 17 international students have started.

Understanding how a healthy brain works and identifying the neural states that underpin mental illness requires a familiarity with several disciplines. The new Master’s degree has a correspondingly broad scope ranging from neurobiology over computational modeling to psychology. One particular strength of the program is the focus on laboratory practice. Students get an early start in the lab, gaining valuable insight into what everyday research is like. This will be complemented by an internship at a company or clinic. By the end of their studies, students will be very familiar with the broad range of measurement, analysis and treatment methods in neuroscience.
