The newly founded Center for Clinical Neurosciences was inaugurated November 21-22, 2014 with an opening event and a scientific symposium. The center has the goal to advance clinical neurosciences both in Switzerland and internationally.
The Center for Clinical Neurosciences, headed by Prof. Anton Valavanis, comprises of the three clinics of neurology, neuroradiology and neurosurgery. It builds on the rich tradition of the University Hospital, the University of Zurich and the ETH Zurich in the field of clinical and basic neurosciences. Working closely with the Neuroscience Center Zurich, the Center for Clinical Neurosciences has the objective to promote translational science, to offer the best possible treatment for patients with complex neurological diseases, to invest in the promotion of young talents and, through this, to bring the Zurich clinical neurosciences into a leading position.
