Joint projects and travel awards

Three high profile centers have established a partnership with the aim to encourage neuroscience research. Brain@McGill, Oxford Neuroscience and the ZNZ have signed a new memorandum of understanding establishing the McGill – Oxford – ZNZ Partnership in the Neurosciences in June 2013. The partnership will open new horizons in basic research and clinical intervention and foster research synergies between groups with complementary infrastructure, knowledge and research expertise. Excellence in neuroscience education and postgraduate training will be fostered by facilitating student mobility across the three centers.
The present call for proposals results from this research partnership and encompasses proposals for joint projects for principal investigators and travel awards for graduate students and post-docs.

Joint projects for principal investigators
Considered are proposals for joint pilot projects, workshops and research projects with larger funding that are submitted together with colleagues from Brain@McGill and/or Oxford Neuroscience. This call for proposals applies to projects concerning any area relevant to the nervous system and its disorders. Preference will be given to new, innovative, or high-risk collaborative projects. There will be two calls for proposals annually. The deadline for application for the first call is 15 July 2014. The second call will be announced 1 December 2014.
