Meet the new ZNZ Group Leaders
A warm welcome to our new members Prof. Kleinjung, Prof. Polania and Prof. Stippich. Read on to learn about their research interests.
Prof. Dr. Tobias Kleinjung
Department of Otorhinolaryngology, University Hospital Zurich
Our main focus is in the fields of tinnitus, hearing loss and auditory neuroplasticity. We investigate different types of neuromodulation approaches like neurofeedback or transcranial electrical brain stimulation. Furthermore, we are interested in the improvement of tinnitus subtyping. This includes the evaluation of new psychometric measurements as well as identifying tinnitus-related neuroplastic changes in the brain by EEG, MRI and PET recordings. More
Prof. Dr. Rafael Polania
Decision Neuroscience Lab, Department of Health Sciences and Technology, ETH Zurich
The neural processes that enable flexible decision making are fundamental components of human cognition. The lab establishes important links between the computational, psychological and neural processes controlling human decision making, by providing both correlative and causal evidence that well-defined neural signals are indeed driving both computationally defined cognitive processes and the resulting behavior. Prof. Dr. med. Christoph Stippich
Department of Neuroradiology, University Hospital Zurich
Christoph Stippich became the new chairman of the Department of Neuroradiology in January 2018. His research spectrum includes quantitative neuroimaging, primarily for multiple sclerosis and neurodegenerative diseases. Furthermore, he has linked advanced structural and functional neuroimaging techniques to study brain connectivity. More
