Eccellenza Fellowship for Saab

Aiman S. Saab has received an SNSF Eccellenza Professorial Fellowship. His project was one of 45 projects selected for funding out of 229 applications.

With its Eccellenza funding scheme, introduced in 2018, the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) has increased its support for outstanding researchers on the path to a permanent professorship. The Grant covers project expenses as well as salaries for up to 1.5 million Swiss francs for five years.

Aiman Saab, in the Group of Experimental Imaging and Neuroenergetics at the Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology of the University of Zurich, obtained the Fellowship for his project “Homeostatic control and dysfunctions of axon-oligodendrocyte coupling”.
