The Synapsis Foundation – Alzheimer Research Switzerland ARS has opened a call for entries for an Assistant Professorship in basic or clinical Alzheimer research. Applications for this 4 year grant must be submitted not later than May 1, 2017.
Projects focused on innovative and independent Alzheimer research that are performed at a Swiss University are the focus for this non-tenured Assistant Professorship. The evaluation process and administration of the grant will be managed by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) based on their rules and regulations for SNSF professorships.
Research Focus
- Independent and original “from bed to bench” research project providing additional knowhow and perspectives to the host institution.
- The foundation would especially welcome projects aiming at innovative new early diagnostic approaches and the development of novel therapies.
- Research contributing to strengthening the network and synergies among Swiss Memory clinics is highly encouraged.
The goal of the Synapsis Foundation is to better understand Alzheimer’s in all phases of the disease. To achieve this goal, the Synapsis Foundation supports fundamental and clinical research of Alzheimer’s disease and on neurodegenerative disorders that is conducted in Switzerland.
