2017 Joint projects and travel awards

The Oxford-McGill-Zurich Partnership in Neuroscience announces the fifth call for joint projects/workshops and travel awards. The goal of the programs is to promote collaborative research between the three neuroscience centers and build valuable synergies.

Joint projects/workshops for principal investigators
ZNZ research groups are invited to submit joint pilot projects and workshops together with colleagues from Brain@McGill and/or Oxford Neuroscience. This call for proposals applies to projects concerning any area relevant to the nervous system and its disorders. Preference will be given to new, innovative, or high-risk collaborative projects.

  • Call for Pilot Projects/Workshops Opens: Monday, 3 July 2017
  • Application Deadline: Friday, 20 October 2017
  • Decision Expected by: Tuesday, 24 November 2017
  • Earliest Start Date: Wednesday, 1 December 2017

Applications may be made in two categories:

  • Workshops: C$10,000 (or the equivalent in £GB/SFr)
  • Pilot projects: C$30,000

Principal investigators from at least two partner universities can file an application. Full details and application forms are available here.

Kollar Travel Award for graduate students and postdocs
Student mobility and training are also an integral part of this joint program. Graduate students and postdocs of the ZNZ can directly apply for financial support of an individual research stay of 1-4 months in a partner laboratory at McGill. Submission is possible anytime, no deadline is given.
